Sørup Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in the town of Svendborg on the island of Fyn ( German : Funen ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Sunds Herred in what was then Svendborg Office , then to Svendborg Municipality in Fyns Office , which was merged into the "new" Svendborg Municipality in the Syddanmark region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

Of the 27,068 inhabitants of Svendborg, 3,572 live in the parish of Sørup (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Sørup Kirke".

Neighboring communities are in the north Kirkeby Sogn , in the east Tved Sogn and Vor Frue Sogn , in the south Sankt Nikolaj Sogn and Sankt Jørgens Sogn and in the west Egense Sogn .
