Sankt Jørgens Sogn ( German: Sankt Georgs Gemeinde ) is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) in Svendborg on the island of Fyn ( German : Funen ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Sunds Herred in what was then Svendborg Office , then to Svendborg Municipality in Fyns Office , which was merged into the "new" Svendborg Municipality in the Syddanmark region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

Of the 27,068 inhabitants of Svendborg, 5354 live in the parish of Sankt Jørgens (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Sankt Jørgens Kirke".

Neighboring municipalities are in the west Egense Sogn , in the north Sørup Sogn and east Sankt Nikolai Sogn .
