Nicolò Ferrari

Nicolò Ferrari (born April 24, 1928 in Camogli ) is an Italian documentary filmmaker , film director and screenwriter .

Life

After graduating from high school, Ferrari was an active member of the Genoa Film Club and worked on projects for the Federazione Italiana Circoli del Cinema (FICC), whereupon he also gained experience as a publisher. In 1950 he moved to Rome and began working as a documentary filmmaker and assistant director , often for Romolo Marcellini and Roberto Rossellini . Ferrari made her feature film debut with Laura Nuda in 1961. The critically-acclaimed film had problems with censorship. Two more works followed in 1969 and 1994, but they could not reach the format of his debut.

Ferrari accompanied his activity as a documentarist throughout his career.
