The local history museum Sankt Gilgen as a barn with a side hall of the former Wetzlgut is a local history museum in the municipality of Sankt Gilgen in the Salzburg area . The building is a listed building .

The former barn of the Wetzl estate was mentioned in a document in 1652. The side-hall house with a gable-sided entrance has an upper floor in a block construction with balconies. Beams were designated 1655, 1668 and 1770.

The building has been used as a local museum since 1980 and shows objects relating to the history of local handicrafts, such as wood turners , lace-makers and glassblowers . There is a religious collection, nativity figurines, and furniture and household items from the 19th century. There is also documentation on famous guests of the tourist destination.
