Heiner Klemp (born May 9, 1963 in Berlin ) is a German politician of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party and has been a member of the Brandenburg State Parliament since September 2019 .

Career

In 1989 Klemp graduated from the Technical University of Berlin with a degree in computer science. Among other things, he worked as a software developer, project manager and management consultant.

politics

Klemp has been a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen since 1996 . In 1998 he was elected for the first time to the community council of the then still independent community of Lehnitz. After the town was incorporated, he was a member of the Oranienburg city ​​council from 2003 to 2019 , and from 2006 as chairman of the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen parliamentary group.

In 2017 he stood as a candidate for Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in the mayoral election in Oranienburg against seven other candidates. He received 8.4 percent of the votes in the first ballot and thus missed the runoff election.

Klemp has been a member of the Oberhavel district council since May 2019 .

About the eighth Rank of Alliance 90 / The Greens Brandenburg Klemp was in the state elections in Brandenburg in 2019 in the Brandenburg parliament elected. In the parliamentary group of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen he is the spokesman for business, municipalities and Europe. In the Brandenburg State Parliament he is a member of the Committee on Home Affairs and Local Affairs, the Committee on Economy, Labor and Energy and the Committee on European Affairs and Development Policy.

Private

Klemp has lived in the Oranienburg district of Lehnitz since 1994, is married and has two grown children. He is voluntarily engaged, among other things, as spokesman for the board of the association "Green Citizens Movement Local Politics e.V." as well as in the association "Willkommen in Oranienburg eV" (Founding member).
