Heiner Ludwig

Heiner Ludwig (born November 18, 1942 in Wadrill , Saarland ) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Ludwig studied Roman Catholic theology at the University of Münster and graduated in 1969 with a degree in theology. From 1970 to 1975 he was a research assistant at the University of Münster. In 1975 he received his doctorate and in 1976 he was appointed professor at the University of Giessen . In 1983 Ludwig was appointed advisor for Church and Workers at the Catholic District Office in Frankfurt / Main and held the office until 1990. He was then appointed director of the Academy for Political and Social Education of the Diocese of Mainz - "Haus am Maiberg" - in Heppenheim. From 1996 to 2007 Ludwig was a professor at the Institute for Theology and Social Ethics at TU Darmstadt . Ludwig is married and has three children.
