Heiner Minssen

Heiner Minssen (* 1951 in Bremen ) is a German sociologist.

Life

Heiner Minssen studied sociology at Bielefeld University with a diploma. In 1981 he received his doctorate there.

In 1992 he completed his habilitation at the University of Dortmund . From 1979 to 1992 he was a research assistant at the Dortmund Social Research Center . After a substitute professorship at Bielefeld University, he was professor for work organization and work design at the Institute for Ergonomics at the Ruhr University Bochum from 1994 and was managing director here for several years. He was also a co-opted member of the Sociology Section of the Faculty of Social Science. He was retired in 2017.
