Heiner Widderich (born August 6, 1935 in Hamburg ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and former member of the Hamburg parliament .

Life and work

Heiner Widderich made his Abitur in 1956 at the Walddörferschule grammar school in Hamburg-Volksdorf . He then began his professional career in the senior service of the Deutsche Bundespost , where he was promoted to the post office council. He is married and has three children.

At the same time as he started his professional life, Widderich joined the SPD and the German Postal Union in 1956 , where he was both involved. At post office 70 he was temporarily released as chairman of the staff council for this work. The members of his SPD district Hamburg-Berne elected him in 1966 as chairman. He also belonged to the expanded SPD district executive in Hamburg-Wandsbek

1966 to 1970 he worked for his party as a deputy of the Hamburg youth authority.

In 1970 he was elected as a member of the Hamburg parliament. He worked, among other things, in the cross-party committees for work, youth and social affairs ; Health and as chairman of the sports committee. In addition, in 1977 he was appointed chairman of the sports working group of the state executive committee of the Hamburg SPD .

In April 1985 Heiner Widderich resigned from his citizenship mandate because he had been appointed head of the Hamburg Sports Office. There he retired in August 2000.
