Heino Cohrs

Heino Cohrs (born June 20, 1923 in the Lüneburg Heath , † October 10, 2010 in Aachen ) was a German actor .

Cohrs grew up in Hamburg . As early as 1943, when he was still a student, he played theater at the Hamburger Schauspielhaus . In 1948 Ida Ehre brought him to the Kammerspiele in Hamburg . There he played with Hilde Krahl and Helmut Käutner . This was followed by an engagement at the Hamburg Thalia Theater . In 1958 Paul Mundorf , artistic director in Aachen, brought him to his theater.

Heino Cohrs was an honorary member of the Aachen Theater and received the Kurt Sieder Prize in 2003 for his overall acting performance. He was regularly on stage for over 50 years. During this time he played the leading role in many plays, most recently in Nathan the Wise . But he also played King Lear and embodied many other characters in his career. In the 2009/10 season he played - alone on stage - the old Felix Krull (based on motifs from Thomas Mann's novel ), who tells his life in retrospect.
