Heinrich , Henri Debout , Henri de Bottis , was Bishop of Geneva .

Life

Nothing is known about his origins and his youth. Heinrich was a Cluniac and from 1255 to 1260 prior of St. Alban in Basel . In 1258 he stayed at the papal court in Viterbo . On April 26, 1260 he was appointed Bishop of Geneva. In favor of the Priory of Saint-Victor in Geneva, he gave up the Commendatarpriorate of Romainmôtier . During his tenure, the Dominicans and Franciscans founded monasteries in Geneva.
