Heinrich Bettenbühl

Heinrich Bettenbühl (born October 18, 1875 in Kronberg im Taunus ; † January 2, 1962 there ) was a German sculptor and wood carver .

Bettenbühl was born the son of master carpenter Philipp Bettenbühl. After attending the arts and crafts school in Frankfurt am Main between 1896 and 1898, he returned to his place of birth. There he took over his father's business together with his brother Georg in 1902. In 1930 he separated from his brother and founded his own carving workshop, in which his son Ewald also worked from 1933.

Works by Bettenbühl can be found at the town hall in Kronberg, in Friedrichshof Palace and in the Evangelical Church in Falkenstein . For the St. Elisabeth Church in Wiesbaden he made a sculpture of the patron saint.
