Humate was a German music project.

background

It was founded in 1992 by the three DJs Gerret Frerichs , Oliver Huntemann and Patrick Kjonberg. After Huntemann and Kjonberg left, Frerichs continued it as a solo project. In 1998, Humate achieved a trance classic with the track Love Stimulation .

This track was originally released in 1993 on the Berlin trance label MFS and initially only circulated through European clubs. Five years later, the record label Jive Records added a remix made by Paul van Dyk to its repertoire and it rose to number 18 on the British pop charts after it was released as a single.

Other well-known tracks are for example Sound and 3.1 , both of which were played by Sven Väth in the Hr3 Clubnight .

Although further tracks were created in the following, the group could no longer build on this success.
