Josef Nix

Josef Nix (born October 5, 1889 in Hofheim am Taunus ; † November 18, 1964 there ) was a German homeland researcher and genealogist . Nix made several contributions to the history of the city of Hofheim.

Josef Nix was born as the son of the farmer Martin Nix. After attending the humanistic grammar school in Höchst am Main , he studied at the University of Göttingen from 1909 . His way led him back to Höchst, where he worked as a teacher at the local high school. He later switched to the girls' high school in Mayen . In 1944 he finally returned to his hometown Hofheim, where he lived until his death.

Nix's estate is in the Hofheim City Archives.
