Heinrich Boethius
Heinrich Boëthius (also Boethius ; * 1551 in Klein Steimke , Amt Fallersleben , † May 5, 1622 in Helmstedt ) was an Evangelical Lutheran theologian and general superintendent of the General Diocese of Calenberg .
Life
Boëthius was from 1581 to 1591 professor of the Greek and later also the Hebrew language at the University of Helmstedt . From 1584 he also held a theological professorship. From 1589 to 1593 he was the first general superintendent of the Principality of Calenberg with the official seat in Pattensen . He then returned to Helmstedt as a professor of theology, general superintendent of Helmstedt and pastor at the St. Stephani church . Boethius was the author of a catechism that was printed in Lemgo in 1592 .
