Life

Heinrich Brömse was the son of the mayor of Lübeck, Dietrich Brömse . In 1597 he became a member of the patrician circle society and in 1610 councilor in Lübeck. In the council he worked from 1629 as treasurer of the city.

Heinrich Brömse was married to a daughter of the mayor of Lübeck Gotthard V. von Hoeveln . His sons Dietrich , Gotthard and Andreas Albrecht later also became councilors of the city. One daughter married the councilor Leonhard Elver . Heinrich Brömse was the hereditary lord of Gut Stockelsdorf and in 1618 he also acquired Gut Krummesse . After his death, a coat of arms epitaph was installed in his memory on one of the pillars of the nave of the Aegidienkirche in Lübeck, where he had been church mayor since 1626. It has probably not been preserved since 1803. However, his coat of arms is still on the organ's prospectus.
