Gotthard Broemse (* 1607 in Lübeck ; † October 24, 1673 ibid) was a councilor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.

Life

Gotthard Broemse was the son of Lübeck councilor Heinrich Brömse, who died in 1632 . His older brother Dietrich Brömse was elected to the council in 1644, but died that same year. Gotthard Broemse had been a member of the patrician circle society since 1630 and was elected councilor after the death of his brother Dietrich in 1646. He had inherited the Lübschen estates Krummesse , Kronsforde and Niemark from his father . In 1645 he initiated the construction of the manor house in Krummesse. In contrast to the other patricians who owned land in Lübeck, he remained neutral in the disputes with the craftsmen in 1667 and remained in the council in 1669 .

He was married to a daughter of the Lübeck councilor Bernhard Wedemhof . His epitaph in Lübeck's Marienkirche with a painting by Franz Oesterreich burned during the air raid on Lübeck in 1942.
