Heinrich Diestelmeier (politician)

Heinrich Diestelmeier (born May 10, 1886 in Bad Salzuflen , † June 9, 1938 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Diestelmeier he was the son of a bricklayer. He attended elementary school in Bad Salzuflen and then trained as a carpenter at the same location . He worked as a carpenter until 1914 and then took part in the war from 1914 to 1917 and returned home severely disabled. From November 1917 until his death he was an employee of the state saltworks and bathing administration in Bad Salzuflen. Diestelmeier was a Protestant denomination and married.

In 1910 he joined the SPD and the union. From 1913 he was a board member of the SPD and the trade union in Salzuflen. After the November Revolution, he was an unpaid city councilor in Salzuflen from 1918 to 1933. From 1921 to 1933 he was a member of the Lippe state parliament . After the seizure of power by the Nazis, he could not continue his political work. He was held in protective custody for several weeks in 1933 .
