Heinrich Ebeling (Councilor)

Heinrich Ebeling († 1475 ) was councilor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck .

Life

The citizen Heinrich Ebeling was elected to the Lübeck council in 1451. In 1452 he was accepted into the patrician circle society . Its simple coat of arms shows a crossbar . From 1455 he lived in the property at Königstrasse 15 in Lübeck.

Heinrich Ebeling was married three times. His first wife was Gertrud, a daughter of the citizen Johann Illhorn and granddaughter of the councilor in the New Council of 1408 and Lübeck mayor Johann Lange . She was the widow of the citizen Engelbert Vockinghusen. In the second marriage he married Adelheid / Taleke Kerkring, and in the third marriage Gertrud Möller. His son, the councilor Johann Ebeling († 1509), is said to have come from this last marriage. His grandson, the Lübeck canon Moritz Ebeling, comes from the Illhorn's grandfather's coat of arms with the Hifthorn on his figural grave plate in Lübeck Cathedral from Heinrich Ebeling's first marriage.
