Heinrich Engelhardt (politician)

Heinrich Engelhardt (born January 22, 1922 in Nesselröden , Duderstadt district, † November 30, 2003 ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Engelhardt completed an apprenticeship as a bricklayer, after which he attended the State Building School in Hildesheim. During World War II he was in military service in Russia and Italy. He was wounded twice. In 1948 he passed his civil engineering exam. 1953 followed the master builder examination. After completing his examination, he founded a construction business with an architecture office in Duderstadt . He was a member of the Kolping Society .

In 1952 he won the election as mayor of Nesselröden. In the same year he became a member of the local council and later in 1956 a member of the district council of the district of Duderstadt .

Engelhardt became a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament during the fourth and fifth electoral periods from May 6, 1959 to June 5, 1967. In both electoral periods he was a member of the Committee for Development and Settlement.
