Heinrich Ferber

Heinrich Ferber (born March 6, 1832 in Düsseldorf ; † April 17, 1895 ibid) was a German administrative clerk, archivist and regional historian.

In 1854, after attending the Max School in Citadellstrasse in the Karlstadt district , he found a job as a secretary with Franz Egon von Hoensbroech at Haag Castle near Geldern , where he wrote several works on the history of the Hoensbroech House and the Duchy of Geldern , building on the archives .

In 1865 he moved back to Düsseldorf, where he held a position as administrator of the eye clinic headed by Albert Mooren . On January 30, 1869, he married Maria Jörgens. In 1887 he took a job as archivist with Count Spee at Heltorf Castle. His tasks included the organization of the family archive and the writing of a family chronicle, which remained unfinished.

Ferber's grave is located in the Düsseldorf North Cemetery .
