Heinrich Frieling

Heinrich Frieling (born June 8, 1985 in Soest ) is a German lawyer and politician ( CDU ). He has been a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia since 2017 .

Life

Frieling grew up in Sieveringen , where his parents run a farm. After graduating from the Ursuline High School in Werl in 2004 , he began studying law at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster , which he completed in 2010 with the first state examination. He then completed his legal clerkship at the Arnsberg Regional Court and a supplementary course in administrative science at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer . After passing the second state examination in 2012 and being admitted to the bar , he initially worked for a law firm in Soest. Currently (as of 2020) he is working as an independent lawyer in Ense . Furthermore, since 2014 Frieling has been teaching municipal law at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in North Rhine-Westphalia in Gelsenkirchen .

Frieling joined the CDU in 2004. From 2005 to 2010 he was chairman of the Junge Union Ense, from 2012 to 2016 chairman of the JU district association Soest and from 2013 to 2019 a member of the JU Germany Council. Since 2015 he has been a member of the CDU district committee South Westphalia and since November 2017 chairman of the CDU district association Soest. He has been a member of the Ense municipality since 2009 and has been chairman of the local CDU parliamentary group since 2014.

In the state elections in 2017 , Frieling was elected as a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia. He won the direct mandate in constituency 119 (Soest I) with 42.4% of the first votes . In the state parliament, he is a member of the budget control committee, the interior committee and the committee for the environment, agriculture, nature and consumer protection.
