Heinrich Ginther

Heinrich Ginther (born April 29, 1958 in Breitenwang ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). He has been a member of the Tyrolean state parliament and mayor of the municipality of Elmen since 2003 .

Heinrich Ginther attended elementary school between 1964 and 1968 and changed to secondary school in Elbigenalp until 1972 . He then graduated from the Higher Technical College for Building Construction, which he graduated with the Matura in 1977.

Ginther worked from 1982 to 1998 as a structural engineer in an architectural office. He has been running a chimney sweep since 1991, and has also been an interior designer since 1998.

Ginther got into politics in 1986 as a councilor in Elmen. He was elected deputy mayor in 1992 and mayor in 1998. In addition, he has been ÖVP parish chairman since 1998 and local chairman of the Wirtschaftsbund since 2003. In June 2006, Ginther was elected district party chairman for the Reutte district. Ginther has been a member of the Tyrolean state parliament since October 21, 2003 and represents the ÖVP in the committee for society, education, culture and sport as well as in the finance committee. In 2003, Ginther accepted his mandate through the Reutte district nomination and ran again in 2008 on the district nomination, where he was ranked second behind State Councilor Anna Hosp .
