Heinrich Heidel (born November 28, 1952 in Frankenberg ) is a German politician ( FDP ) and former member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

After graduating from secondary school in 1969 at the Vöhl Center, he was trained as an agricultural assistant in 1972 and as an agricultural master in 1977.

politics

In 1972 Heidel became a member of the Young Democrats and the FDP district association Waldeck-Frankenberg , where he was district and district chairman from 2000. Heidel was a member of the Vöhl local council from 1977 to 1981, and of the Vöhl community council from 1985 to 1989 and since 1997. From 1989 to 1995 and since 2001 he was a member of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district assembly, where he was chairman of the FDP district assembly from 1993 to 1995 and deputy chairman of the district assembly from 1989 to 1993.

From 1995 to 2014, Heinrich Heidel, who had always stood for election in the Waldeck-Frankenberg II constituency and was elected from his party's state list, was a member of the state parliament and spokesman for genetic engineering (agriculture), forest policy, agricultural policy, nature conservation policy and environmental policy. From April 2003 he was chairman of the parliamentary committee for the environment, rural areas and consumer protection . Before that, he was a member of the Committee on Environment, Agriculture and Forests from April 5, 1999 to April 4, 2003 . He was deputy chairman from October 28, 1997 to April 4, 1999 of the subcommittee on displaced persons, resettlers and reparations.

After the early state elections in Hesse in 2009 , Heidel was elected Vice-President of the Hessian state parliament on February 5, 2009 and remained so until January 18, 2014. On May 14, 2009, he gave a much-noticed speech on the dairy industry in the state parliament, in which he obviously was under the influence of alcohol.

Other offices

Heinrich Heidel is an advisory board member of the German Nutrition Society (DGE) - Section Hessen, Hessischer Tierschutzbeirat, in the state enterprise HESSEN-FORST, the state sports conference as well as the board of trustees of the foundation Hessischer Naturschutz .

He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Hessen Consumer Agency (VZH) e. V.

Since 1999 he has been a board member of the Agricultural Social Insurance Hesse and was also Vice President of the Hessian Farmers' Association from 1999 .

Heidel was temporarily chairman of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district association of the European Union .
