Hessian Nature Conservation Foundation

The Hessian Nature Conservation Foundation is a legal , non-profit foundation under public law based in Wiesbaden . It promotes nature conservation and land maintenance measures in Hessen . Sabine Fischbach-Thiel is the managing director; on the foundation board is u. a. as chairwoman the Hessian Environment and Agriculture Minister Priska Hinz .

History and structure

The foundation was established in 1978 and works with the interest income from the foundation's assets of currently 4.65 million euros. In addition, she receives donations and funds from the country's GlücksSpirale . The foundation also supports projects by environmental associations.

aims

The aim of the foundation is the protection of nature and the landscape and thus the preservation of the natural environment and the natural foundations of life in Hesse. The SHN wants to act as a link between state and voluntary nature conservation.
