Heinrich Kofler

Heinrich Kofler (born March 23, 1930 in Lengmoos , South Tyrol ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and tax officer. From 1974 to 1984 he was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament .

education and profession

Kofler attended elementary school in Lengmoos near Bozen. In the course of the option in South Tyrol, his family moved to Bregenz in 1941, whereupon Kofler attended high school in Bregenz and in 1950 passed his Matura in Bregenz. He graduated in sequence from 1950 to 1954 to study law at the University of Innsbruck and graduated on 18 December 1954 with the graduation to the Dr. jur. from. After finishing his studies on December 1, 1954, Kofler joined the tax office of Feldkirch, for which he worked until his retirement in May 1990.

Politics and functions

Kofler joined the Austrian People's Party or the ÖAAB in 1967 and held the function of a member of the state party leadership of the ÖVP Vorarlberg during his time as a member of the state parliament. He belonged to the state parliament as a member of the constituency of Dornbirn from November 4, 1974, whereby he resigned his mandate on January 2, 1980. He waived his mandate for professional reasons, as otherwise he would have had to leave his job with full pay. After a change in the law, he accepted his mandate again on February 4, 1981, succeeding Elmar Rümmele . He was a member of the state parliament until November 5, 1984. Kofler was area spokesman for educational issues within the ÖVP state parliament club and member of the economics committee, member of the control committee, member of the energy policy committee and member of the social policy committee.

From April 30, 1970, Kofler was active in local politics as a member of the municipal council of Lustenau, and he was also a member of the municipal council. He led the school and economy departments and was later from May 10, 1985 to April 19, 1990, a substitute member of the community council.

In addition to his political mandates, Kofler was a member of the state executive committee of the union of public employees and from 1960 member and secretary of SC Austria Lustenau.

Private

Kofler was born the son of the shoemaker Heinrich Kofler (1881-1941) and his wife Rosa (1909-2001). He married Hedwig Müller in 1959 and had one son each in 1960 and 1963.
