Heinrich Möller (trade unionist)

Heinrich Möller (born July 30, 1850 in Hohwege an der Ruhr , † April 22, 1902 in Oberlangenbielau ) was a German trade unionist and social democratic politician.

Life

Möller was a miner in the Ruhr area until 1878 . After that he was a mine official until 1887. He was initially departmental Steiger and finally deputy superintendent. After that he was only a miner again and finally a Berg disabled .

During the great miners' strike in the Ruhr area in 1889, he was secretary of the strike committee. After the founding of the later free trade union Old Association he was editor of the association magazine "Zeitung deutscher Bergarbeiter" between 1890 and 1891. In 1891 Möller was sentenced to fifteen months in prison for violating press laws. After that he was secretary of the old association until May 1893 . After the "Essen perjury trial" he was chairman of the union from 1895 to 1901.

Möller belonged to the Reichstag for the SPD in the eleventh legislative period from 1893 to 1898 for the constituency of Breslau 10 (Waldenburg in Silesia).
