Heinrich Pahlenberg

Heinrich Pahlenberg (born April 7, 1911 in Cologne-Kalk , † January 22, 1990 in Siegburg ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1958 to 1970 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

Heinrich Pahlenberg visited after the elementary school , the vocational school and did an apprenticeship as a construction and locksmith. Later he retrained as a tool fitter.

Pahlenberg had been a member of the Christian Metalworkers' Association since 1925 and of the Catholic Journeyman's Association and the Catholic Labor Movement (KAB) since 1927 . He remained a member until 1933, the year these unions and associations were dissolved after the National Socialists came to power.

In 1946 Pahlenberg joined IG Metall , and from 1947 he was chairman of the works council. He continued his education through work, social and legal courses at IG Metall schools and then worked as a labor and social judge and as a lay judge at the Bonn Regional Court .

Pahlenberg became a CDU member in 1954. In 1956 he was elected to the Siegburg City Council, of which he was a member until 1969. In the state elections in 1958, 1962 and 1966, Pahlenberg was elected to the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament as a direct candidate for the CDU in constituency 23 (Siegkreis-Nord) and 25 (Siegkreis II). He was a Member of Parliament from July 21, 1958 to July 25, 1970.
