Heinrich Wastian

Heinrich Wastian (born February 3, 1876 in Graz ; † September 1, 1932 ibid) was an Austrian writer and politician ( GDVP ). Wastian was a member of the House of Representatives and from 1919 to 1920 regional councilor in the Styrian regional government .

Life

Heinrich Wastian attended grammar schools in Graz and Maribor and studied German, literary history and art history at the universities of Graz and Munich. He earned a doctorate in philosophy and was early active in the field of writing. Wastian published works with literary history, art history and general history content and wrote poetry and poems in Styrian dialect. He was also active as president of the “Styrian Society for the Promotion of the Arts” and was also active as a writer under the pseudonym “Heini von Steier”.

Wastian was between June 15, 1909 and July 11, 1909 and between October 20, 1909 and March 20, 1911 for the National Association of German Freedom Parties / German National Association member in the House of Representatives. In addition, he was a member of the House of Representatives between July 17, 1911 and June 18, 1914 as a representative of the German National Association (German People's Party). Wastian represented the German ethnic group from the Crown Land of Styria. Wastian was also between May 27, 1919 and November 26, 1920 Regional Councilor in the Styrian regional government for the Greater German People's Party.

In 1897 he became an honorary member of the Suevia Innsbruck fraternity and in 1897 of the Rhenania Munich fraternity .
