Heinrich von Borstel

Heinrich von Borstel (born January 9, 1936 in Wischhafen , Stade district ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and a former member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

After attending elementary school in Wischhafen and attending secondary school in Freiburg / Elbe, von Borstel completed an apprenticeship as a banker . Immediately afterwards, he did further training in a tax consultancy profession. From 1961 he was initially active as a tax agent and from 1974 also as a tax advisor.

Von Borstel has been a member of the SPD since 1955. He was the deputy chairman of the local SPD association in North Kehdingen and since 1976 he has held the office of chairman of the self-employed working group (AGS) of the SPD in the district of North Lower Saxony. He was a deputy member of the administrative board of the Kreissparkasse in his home town of Stade. As a member of the supervisory board, he worked for the waste recycling company in Stade and became chairman of the Reich Association of War Victims, Disabled People, Social Pensioners and Survivors in the Wischhafen local group. Von Borstel had already been a councilor since 1964 and became mayor of the municipality of Wischhafen in 1991. In the joint community of North Kehdingen he was SPD parliamentary group leader and councilor of the joint community. Since 1971 he was a member of the district council of the Stade district, and here chairman of the sports committee and financial policy spokesman for his party.

He was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament in the 12th electoral period from June 21, 1990 to June 20, 1994.
