Heinrich von Roos

Heinrich Ulrich Ludwig von Roos (* 1780 in Stuttgart , † 1840 in Würzburg ) was a German medic .

Roos had been senior physician at the garrison hospital since 1805, went to Russia in 1812 as senior physician in a regiment with Napoleon's large army and was captured there. He stayed in Russia and became senior physician at the St. Petersburg Naval Hospital , where he published his memoirs in 1832. He died in Würzburg in 1840 at the age of 60.
