Heinrich von Rugge (Heinrich von jerk) was a minstrel at the time of Frederick I . Life

Heinrich von Rugge belonged to a ministerial family of the Count Palatine of Tübingen , who lived near Blaubeuren and for whom the dignity of truchess has been attested since 1192 .

Twelve Minnelieder and a cross in which he lamented the death of Frederick I (1190) after the news had come to Germany have come down to us. His poems are contained in the Minnesang's Spring by Lachmann und Haupt.

The descendants of those of Rugge (Ruck) exist to this day. The best known is the top German winemaker Johann Ruck (see: Weingut Johann Ruck ).
