Heinrich (Hinrich) von Stökken (born November 16, 1657 in Trittau , † August 1, 1690 in Rendsburg ) was a German pastor.

Live and act

Heinrich von Stökken was a son of Christian von Stökken . He enrolled at Kiel University on January 25, 1675, in Copenhagen on June 30, 1680 , in Tübingen on August 27, 1681, and in Gießen on November 29 . In 1684 his father died, who until then had been provost in Rendsburg and chief pastor at the Marienkirche . Von Stökken took over these positions at a young age and without professional experience.

Von Stökken wrote funeral sermons, occasional poems and only one publication worth mentioning. This was a pamphlet in the context of his father's dispute over his "Kleines Holsteinisches Gesangbuch". He wrote a longer foreword for the anonymous "letter from a friend to his friend", which probably came from his father.

Von Stökken achieved an important role in the German-minded cooperative . Philipp von Zesen appointed him in 1679 as "the serene" member. For the cooperative he acted as a special cabinet holder (secretary) for the Schleswig-Holstein group. As the “head secretary” of the entire organization, the other secret carers were supposed to describe what was happening in their sub-organizations.

Von Stökken married Elsabe Appolonia Bruhn on October 6, 1685 in Rendsburg, whose father Detlev Bruhn was a Dithmarsch authorized representative. The couple had two sons.
