Heinrich von Taufers († November 19, 1239 in Brixen ) was Bishop of Brixen .

Heinrich von Taufers comes from the noble Puster family of the Lords of Taufers . 1208 he became Archdeacon elected at the Metropolitan Church of Aquileia and in 1224 Bishop of Brixen, the consecration took place after four years on March 19, 1228 in Venice by the Salzburg Archbishop Eberhard of Regensberg instead. This delay was probably due to the antagonism between Pope and Emperor.

In 1234 the cathedral district had to be restored after a fire, in 1237 the cathedral was inaugurated by the Archbishop of Salzburg. Because of his lack of Hohenstaufen convictions, the administration of the Brixen bishopric was withdrawn from him in 1236 by Emperor Friedrich II . Secular power was transferred to an imperial governor, and his successor, Egno von Eppan, was involved in the withdrawal of his secular power.

Bishop Heinrich died on November 19, 1239 and was buried in the Brixen Poor Clare Church.
