Heinz-Gerd Schmitz

Heinz-Gerd Schmitz (* 1950 ) is a German philosopher .

Life

After graduating from high school in humanities, he studied philosophy and German literature in Münster and Cologne . After completing his doctorate in Cologne in 1981 ( learning and rhetoric. On the prerequisites of a learning concept based on rhetorical deliberation ) and the habilitation ( The Mandeville Dilemma. Investigations on the relationship between politics and morality ) in 1996, taught there as an adjunct professor .

His main research interests are political, moral, legal and social philosophy.
