Heinz-Helmich van Schewick (born July 16, 1940 in Sonneberg , Thuringia ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and former member of the state parliament in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1960 and doing military service, van Schewick studied psychology at the universities of Bonn and Cologne . He graduated as a psychologist in 1971 and has been an independent psychologist since 1975.

He has been a member of the CDU since 1964. From 1975 to 2014 he was a member of the City Council of Bonn . In the 2014 local elections , he lost his direct mandate to the SPD candidate, causing van Schewick to leave the council.

From May 30, 1985 to June 1, 2000 van Schewick was a directly elected member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia for the constituency 31 Bonn.
