Heinz-Peter Überjahn

Heinz-Peter Überjahn (born November 13, 1948 in Velbert ) is a German football coach .

Überjahn was initially a soccer teacher for the German armed forces in the sports promotion company in Essen-Kupferdreh. As early as 1980 he coached the Niger national team for four weeks in preparation for a World Cup qualifier against the Algerian selection. In 1981 he took over for five years the management of the Niger , and from 1986, the Burkinabe national team . From 1992 to 2004 he was national coach in Namibia , was able to improve the team's position in the FIFA world rankings by 98 places and qualify for the 1998 African Cup . In total, he was the coach in charge of 236 international matches in 36 African countries. Today Überjahn works in Germany and leads seminars for foreign trainers. Überjahn has lived in Wamel am Möhnesee since October 2009 .

He is currently working as a youth trainer at SpVg Möhnesee.
