The RSV Reutlingen city traffic mbH Hogenmüller & Kull Co. KG (RSV) is designed for public transport in Reutlingen and the surrounding cities and towns Pfullingen , Eningen , Pliezhausen and Walddorfhäslach responsible. The company, one third of which is municipal property, operates 15 bus routes and has a fleet of 52 buses of its own . The RSV lines are part of the Neckar-Alb-Danube transport association ; they all operate in tariff cluster 220.
Part of the driving performance is provided on behalf of RSV by the subcontractors Kurz (Pliezhausen), Lutz (Reutlingen) and Steinmaier-Aberle (Pliezhausen), who together have around 35 other buses in RSV design.
history
In 1949, the city of Reutlingen commissioned the private company Hogenmüller & Kull to operate several bus routes in the districts in which the Reutlingen tram did not operate .
With the gradual shutdown of the tram between 1967 and 1974, bus traffic was further expanded.
The express bus line eXpresso has been running between Pfullingen, Reutlingen and Stuttgart Airport since May 14, 2003 .
With the Maxitrain , the RSV procured the first bus passenger trailer in Baden-Württemberg in 2004 .
Since October 5th, 2009 there is the new line 300 from Walddorf to Dettenhausen , where there is a connection to the Schönbuchbahn to Böblingen .
traffic
Since September 2019, the central cross of the RSV lines have been the stations Hbf./Listplatz, Gartenstraße and Unter den Linden. These are served by all bus routes (except for route 23 and school buses). Before that, since 1994, this was the Stadtmitte stop at Willy-Brandt-Platz, where only 11 of the 28 lines stop.
Lines
A new city bus network has been in operation since the second half of 2019 (September 9, 2019), with which Reutlingen is to be better developed. The function of a central stop is no longer to be taken over by the previous ZOB "Reutlingen Stadtmitte" alone, but by Gartenstrasse, which was specially converted for this purpose, as a central local traffic axis. The line branches that were valid until then have been tied through again.
Lines 81, 82 and 91-94 are served by smaller local buses, which enables better development of residential areas.

Vehicle fleet
The RSV uses the O 405 GN bus models , which only run on line 6 , the Citaro and Citaro G from Mercedes-Benz, Urbino 12 and Urbino 18 from Solaris, and two Maxitrains from Göppel (one of the trailers is now a semi-trailer truck that has been converted so that a pair of bicycles can get into the bus.) with a third NL 313 from MAN and 4 Solaris Urbino 12 IV as additional towing vehicles for the Maxitrains. There are also the Citaro G Euro 6 C2 and Citaro Euro 6 C2 buses. The RSV had started to bring the new Solaris Urbino 18 IV into regular service since April 2018 and the new Solaris Urbino 12 IV since June 2019 and to replace older buses.
