Heinz Weder Prize for Poetry
The Heinz Weder Prize for Poetry is a literary competition prize that has been advertised by the Bern Heinz and Hannelise Weder Foundation since 1999 in order to promote "contemporary lyric creation".
Poets who are German-speaking Swiss and who "have never or only once published a volume of poetry" can apply . The main prize is endowed with 10,000 francs , the up to three recognition prizes with 2,500 francs each. In 2007, the endowment for the main prize was increased to 14,000 francs and divided between the two winners; there were no recognition awards.
