Erich Schredl

Erich Schredl (* 1965 in Ingolstadt ) is a German Catholic priest, musician and book author.

Erich Schredl completed his theology studies in Eichstätt and Vienna and was ordained a priest in 1991 in Eichstätt. After years of chaplaincy in Deining and Nuremberg -Reichelsdorf, he became pastor in Walting in 1994 . From 1995 to 2001 Schredl was diocesan curate of the German Scouting Association St. Georg ( DPSG ). From 2000 to 2011 he was pastor in Spalt , Großweingarten and Theilenberg . Effective September 1, 2011, Erich Schredl moved to the Ingolstadt parish of St. Augustin. He is also active as a literary and musician. In addition to various theological non-fiction books and children's books, he wrote the text for the Christmas rock oratorio Im Anfang , which premiered in Ingolstadt in 2005. In addition, Schredl was a member of the pastors' band OSB, which was dissolved in 2012. Since February 2019 he has also been pastor in St. Canisius.
