Heinz-Werner Stuiber

Heinz-Werner Stuiber (born November 17, 1940 ; † June 23, 2019 ) was a German communications scientist .

From 1985 to 2006, Stuiber taught communication science at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . He understood communication science as a sociology of mass communication and devoted himself particularly to broadcasting. His most important publication is Medien in Deutschland II: Rundfunk (1997), in which he takes a position for private-sector and commercial broadcasting and speaks out against state regulatory systems.

According to Michael Meyen , Stuiber was an "avowed non-journalist".
