Heinz Engelhardt (politician)

Gustav Heinz Engelhardt (born January 1, 1930 in Barmen-Elberfeld , † February 9, 2012 in Wuppertal ) was a German SPD politician .

education and profession

Heinz Engelhardt attended elementary school and high school. After graduating, he studied medicine at the University of Cologne . After completing his specialist training, he worked as an assistant at the second surgical university clinic in the Cologne-Merheim municipal hospital . From 1986 to 1996 Engelhardt was director of the Wuppertal-Barmen Surgical Clinic. From 1993–1996 he was Medical Director and member of the management team at the Wuppertal GmbH Clinic. 1997 went into retirement.

politics

Heinz Engelhardt had been a member of the SPD since 1954. From 1956 to 1957 he worked as chairman of the Young Socialists in the sub-district of Wuppertal. Engelhardt was a member of the hospital committee of the city of Wuppertal and the state doctor of North Rhine-Westphalia in the Workers' Samaritan Association. He was a member of the State Advisory Board for Immission Control from November 1970 to October 1975, and he also joined the ÖTV.

From July 26, 1970 to May 27, 1975, Heinz Engelhardt was a directly elected member of the 7th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia for constituency 057 Wuppertal II. There he was a member of the committee for labor, social affairs, health and affairs of displaced persons and refugees as well as in the mine safety committee.
