José Enrique Rodó is a city in southern Uruguay .
geography
It is located in the Soriano department in sectors 6 and 12 . José Enrique Rodó is located northwest and north-northwest of Cardona and Santa Catalina . To the north-west, Risso and Egaña are the next larger settlements.
history
On November 17, 1964, José Enrique Rodó was classified in the " Villa " category by Law 13.299 .
Infrastructure
The Ruta 2 runs through José Enrique Rodó . The city is also on the "Montevideo - Mercedes" railway line and has its own train station, which is currently out of service.
