Heinz Herbert Karry Prize
The Heinz Herbert Karry Prize is an award from the Heinz Herbert Karry Foundation based in Frankfurt am Main . The award, initiated in 1982, was donated in memory of the Hessian State Minister and FDP Chairman Heinz-Herbert Karry , who was murdered in May 1981 .
The prize is to be awarded to personalities who have campaigned for the free, democratic and social constitutional state through word, writing or action . It is endowed with 5000 euros and is awarded every two years. As part of a public event in the Kaisersaal of the Frankfurt City Hall, a certificate and a gold medal with the likeness of the politician will be presented to the award winners.
