Heinz Hochsteiner

Heinz Hochsteiner (born April 22, 1942 in Vienna ) is a former Austrian politician ( FPÖ / BZÖ ). Hochsteiner was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1992 to 1994 .

education and profession

After completing compulsory school, Hochsteiner attended a commercial academy, which he completed in 1961 with the Matura. He then studied business administration at the University for World Trade and graduated in 1969 with the academic degree Dipl.-Kfm. from. After completing his studies, Hochsteiner worked for Siemens AG Austria in Vienna from 1969 to 1973 and was a training manager at Allianz Versicherungs-AG in Vienna from 1974 to 1982. After working as a trainer at Interunfall-RAS from 1982 to 1990, Hochsteiner started his own business in 1991 as a forester and property owner.

politics

Hochsteiner joined the FPÖ in 1964 and from 1975 was parish party chairman of the large community of Weitensfeld-Flattnitz . In 1979 he was elected as a member of the community board and a member of the state party board. In addition, from 1990 to 1991 he held the office of executive regional party chairman of the FPÖ Carinthia. Hochsteiner completed further political positions as chairman of the association of municipal representatives of the FPÖ Carinthia and training officer of the Freedom Education Center in Carinthia.

Hochsteiner represented the FPÖ from June 1, 1992 to November 6, 1994 in the National Council. Then he was mayor of Weitensfeld in the Gurktal between 1997 and 2009 . In the course of the split in the FPÖ, Hochsteiner joined the BZÖ like most of the Carinthian FPÖ members.
