Heinz Hunger (politician)

Heinz Hunger (born April 21, 1938 in Bielefeld ; † July 31, 2008 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ). He was a member of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament .

The trained bookbinder grew up as the son of a locksmith in Vilsendorf near Bielefeld, joined the Falken early on and had been a member of the SPD since 1956. From 1967 to 1980 he was managing director of the SPD sub-district Bielefeld, from 1985 to 1990 he was chairman of the SPD sub-district Bielefeld. Heinz Hunger was a member of the Federal Party Council of the SPD. From 1966 to 1989 he was a member of the Bielefeld City Council and from 1969 also acted as parliamentary group manager. He was a member of the state parliament from 1980 to 2000 and was a full member of the parliamentary committee for urban development and housing as well as the transport committee. For 15 years he was the transport policy spokesman for his group. After leaving the state parliament in 2000, Hunger withdrew from state and local politics, but remained until his death, for example. B. politically active as a member of the SPD party council. Heinz Hunger had two children. He was buried in the old cemetery on Jahnplatz in Bielefeld.
