Heinz Körner (draftsman)

Heinz Körner (born December 3, 1940 in Lichtenfels ) is a German graphic designer and draftsman. The draftsman became known through the comic magazine Yps .

Life

After training as an advertising clerk, Heinz Körner turned professionally to comics and found himself at Kauka from 1962 to early 1965 . In addition to the Fix and Foxi family, he drew episodes with Knox, Hops and Stops and in 1964 also briefly tried his hand at Mischa. His best-known Kauka comic is likely to be the story "Journey into the Past" due to being published three times.

In 1964, Körner was involved in the direct FF competitor product Max & Molly and, after his Kauka time, drew the squirrel Hörni for the Lehning magazine of the same name . After his attitude he created in late 1965 for the Bastion -Heftreihe Felix the figures Wups and Waldi that were drawn in series on the studio Reindl & Dachsel by Franz Roscher. Körner himself became advertising manager at Knorr Hobby GmbH in Lichtenfels, but also contributed a few episodes with the eponymous tomcat for Felix.

In 1973 the artist reappeared at Kelter Verlag , for whom he created the heroes Mucki and Matzi , Captain Snuffy and 3 Musketeers , who experienced their adventures in the horizontal format Mucki-und-Matzi booklet and above all in the Kelter Comic series . From 1975 to 2000, Körner drew 1235 episodes for Yps of the reporter series Yinni und Yan , which he created and which is his main work and at the same time is one of the longest running German comic series by an illustrator.

Since 2001, Heinz Körner has been working with his partner Christian Simeoni mainly for digital media. Heinz Körner is married.
