Heinz Koch (badminton)

Heinz Koch (born October 19, 1930 , † October 27, 2000 ) was a German badminton player from Solingen .

He was one of the pioneers of badminton sport in the Federal Republic of Germany and was one of the outstanding personalities in Solingen badminton sport in the 1950s. In the first German title fights in 1953 he was champion in mixed doubles with Hannelore Schmidt . 1956 and 1958 both repeated this title win. In the last year he was also team champion with the Solingen team.

Heinz Koch died eight days after his 70th birthday on October 27, 2000.
