Heinz Landwehr

Heinz Landwehr (born September 10, 1955 in Herzebrock ) is a German journalist. Since August 1, 2015, he has been editor-in-chief of the independent and ad-free consumer magazine Finanztest of Stiftung Warentest .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1975 at Evangelisch Stiftisches Gymnasium Gütersloh , he studied journalism, history, political science and sociology at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . He completed his master's degree in 1985 with the thesis "Electronic word processing and journalistic work processes at the German Press Agency". Heinz Landwehr was co-founder of the weekly newspaper "Sonntagmorgen - Weekly newspaper for the Warendorf district", which was published from 1982. He later worked as a freelance journalist, including for the Münstersche Zeitung .

From 1991 Landwehr worked as editor of the magazine Finanztest and in 1992 became head of the service. Since then, he has shaped the content of the magazine. In response to the financial crisis that started in 2007 , he and other colleagues wrote the book “Safe investments in the crisis” in 2008 with the aim of ensuring that investors only rely on financial products that they understand themselves.

Heinz Landwehr took over the post of editor-in-chief of Finanztest on August 1st, 2015. He followed Hermann-Josef Tenhagen and Hubertus Primus .

Landwehr is married and lives in Berlin.
