Heinz M. Springmann
Heinz M. Springmann (* 1951 in Rielasingen ) is a German architect .
Springmann studied architecture at the Technical University of Stuttgart and graduated with a degree in engineering . His professional focus lies in the areas of architecture in an urban context, contemporary building, ecology and monument preservation .
His projects in collaboration with Friedensreich Hundertwasser attracted particular public attention . Springmann got to know the Austrian artist in 1989, and a personal friendship arose from the collaboration on the Regenturm project in Plochingen , which began in 1990 . Other Hundertwasser projects by Springmann were the Waldspirale in Darmstadt and the Hundertwasserschule Wittenberg (both realized 1996–1999) and the Hundertwasser train station in Uelzen (1999–2001).
