Heinz Ruland

Heinz Ruland (born March 26, 1893 in Satzvey ; died March 1974 in Cologne ) was a German graphic artist.

Life and education

Heinz Ruland grew up in Mülheim / Rhein (now part of Cologne) and trained as a graphic designer. As such, he made a name for himself in Cologne in the 1920s and 1930s. In the context of the “Cologne Progressive Artists”, he designed their halls for the “rag and barn balls” during Carnival, but also provided designs for the carriages of the Cologne Rose Monday procession.
